Lunch will be ordered from Main Street Cafe & Bakery for all registered attendees.   Because meals are prepared specifically based on your request, anyone who registers but does not attend will be responsible for the cost of their lunch.  

SESSION DESCRIPTION:

This interactive ethics seminar explores real-world ethical challenges through ten case studies based in Iowa. Participants will examine complex situations drawn from professional, legal, healthcare, education, and public service contexts, highlighting how ethical principles apply in everyday decision-making.

Using a structured framework grounded in Ethics, attendees will analyze each case to identify key dilemmas, evaluate competing values, and consider the impact of decisions on individuals, organizations, and communities. The session emphasizes practical tools for ethical reasoning, including stakeholder analysis, risk assessment, and accountability.

Participants will engage in guided discussion designed to strengthen ethical awareness and decision-making skills. By the end of the seminar, attendees will be better equipped to recognize ethical issues, navigate gray areas, and make sound, principled choices in their professional roles.

About the AFWA Des Moines Chapter:
The AFWA Des Moines Chapter meets monthly at various venues across the Metro, typically from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM on the third Tuesday of each month. Attend to network, enjoy lunch, and engage in professional development opportunities. Members and guests are welcome!
